Microsoft Opens Azure Data Centre’s in New Zealand
Late in 2024 Microsoft quietly opened not one, but three new hyperscale Azure Data Centre’s in New Zealand, around Auckland for a new Azure Region. What is “Hyperscale” you may ask? It goes far beyond a standard server room. According to IDC, a hyperscale data centre must exceed 10,000 square feet Meanwhile, the Synergy Research Group highlights not just its size, but its ability to scale on demand and operate with energy efficiency. In simple terms, these facilities are built to be massive, scalable, and sustainable.
Why Three Azure Data Centre’s in New Zealand?
Microsoft explains that the region includes three distinct availability zones. Each zone has its own independent power, cooling, and networking infrastructure. These zones are sufficiently separated to reduce risks from local outages or severe weather. This design guarantees high availability and reliability for your critical services.

As you have likely heard by now support for Windows 10 will end on 14th October 2025. This means that “Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates from Windows Update, technical assistance, or security fixes for Windows 10.” –Microsoft. ProcessIT is here to help with your upgrade. For many modern PC’s the upgrade is very straight forward, however there are a few sticking points for older machines see Windows 11 hardware requirements

The most common issue with older machines is the need for a TPM -a secure crypto-processor that is designed to carry out cryptographic operations. The chip includes physical security mechanisms to make it tamper-resistant so malicious software cant interfere. This improves your System security and without it Windows will normally reject your upgrade to Windows 11.
However, following global complaints of the pending millions of Computers being dumped as e-waste Microsoft have provided the ability to upgrade even if your device lacks a TPM. I’ve successfully upgraded an older machines to Windows 11, and we are ready to assist you in making this seamless transition.
