2020 for ProcessIT

Wow what a shocker this virus has been. No one would have thought it would be so bad and long lasting.

ProcessIT has had an extremely busy year as Clients seek more automation and additional cloud services to enable more remote connection and home access. Sadly, this has meant we have not had the time available to keep up our Newsletters every two months, but we hope to resume these in 2021.

Some of the Exciting Software Projects in 2020 by ProcessIT include:

• An extremely complex Mathematical Algorithm to calculate the most efficient way to cut various Component Lengths from a selection of standard Stock Lengths, thus minimising wastage, and costs of material.
• A Call-Centre Voice over IP Telephony System (VoIP) integrated with the Clients Application. Callers phone numbers are located, and their Records displayed to the Service Representative before the call is answered, saving up to 2 minutes per call over the old manual way of asking “Who’s Calling?” and “How can we help You?”
• Another integration with Mobile Time Capture and Timeclock Start/Stop functionality.
• A Nursery Management application to help scheduling and keep track of Seedling locations, growth, application of water and sprays for traceability and accuracy.
• Linking and exchanging data with the Xero Accounting application to keep a Clients Custom Application in sync with their Xero data.
• An extensive investigation and two-way data exchange with a popular Service Management application Simpro.
• Ongoing enhancements to our own packaged Sales Growth and CRM Software; LEADS.

On top of these there are many smaller projects and improvements to our valued Clients existing systems. There are almost always efficiencies available if you study the requirements and processes.

Tech Tip

With all the stress of the year I like to remind everyone to make a backup at Christmas just to be extra safe. So please take this opportunity to check and confirm that your backup strategy is covering all your critical files and is indeed functional. Read a Tech Tip on Backups here. I challenge you test to confirm that you can indeed locate and restore a couple of the files you have recently edited and one from January!
