Xtra Anti-Spam Blocks Business -How to Fix this by White-Listing!
Are You an Xtra subscriber? Not receiving the Emails you expect?
OR
Are you in Business and sending you Xtra Clients Emails only to get back the dreaded bounce of “554 5.7.1 Message rejected due to possible spam content“?
The Problem is XTRA’s anti spam filtering is too strong. They Block almost everything!
My testing shows they will block ALL ATTACHMENTS, including an embedded images such as your logo. Even your Signature block will be treated as a spam trigger!
This overly protective setting is killing businesses. Invoices are blocked so bills are not paid and accounts get locked or worse, Credit ratings can be impacted or debt collection firms engaged.
Despite much searching of the Xtra.co.nz website i failed to find a solution so ended up requesting a call back from their support service.
The first “Support Agent” from the Philippians advised there is no way for Xtra Subscribers to adjust their anti-spam settings. Persisting I asked about “White-Listing” and was advised that there was a way. He promised to email me details of how to White list someone. -It never arrived!
I logged another Call and got another “Brian” ( and got his employee number). This time I stayed on the line while he tracked down the correct process and sent it to me. Phew, finally.
So following is the process To White-List a Contact with Spark including screenshots…
White-Listing a contact with Xtra
“Hi, Brian
This is Brian from Spark™ team forwarding you the guide and instructions with a step by step procedure on how you can add whitelist on the Xtra™ E-mail account.
First of all you need to go to the website xtra.co.nz then log in using the account credentials”
“Then once you have already logged in to the account click on the “address book” tab on the upper corner of the screen
“Once you click “address book” you will be directed to the page for the contacts, just click “New” then a dropdown will show
Just click on add contact “
“Then this page will appear“
“Just fill out all necessary fields and hit “save” and you will be good to go
That’s the guide on how you can add whitelist on the account
Thanks’”
That’s It! Note that you do not have to fill in all the fields for your new contact.
You can now advise your supplier or contact that their email WILL get through!
Happy messaging, oh and please add us to your white list so you can receive our email and Subscribe to our Newsletters…
